We're Amos and Shelby Hale. Opening a bar was something we had talked about as a possible long-term goal, until we walked into a restaurant on Church Street and found stained glass, exposed brick, and woodwork that contained more history and character than we knew what to do with. When this space came available, we knew the long-term goal had to be expedited into a short-term goal.
We left all of the character and charm alone, and built an old-English meets "Cheers" style tavern around it. Bring a board game or borrow one of ours, pull a book off the shelf, and settle in with a drink curated to your tastes. Nobody here is going to rush you out.
As just a husband and wife duo, we don't have staff for a kitchen just yet, so feel free to bring food in or order it when you get here.
